Content: Write website copy that avoids jargon and connects your value proposition with the client’s goals.
Color: Use warm, inviting colors that allow for content and image to be easily digested.
Culture: Showcase images, videos, philosophy, company story, services, and news to build trust.
The web content of most advisors is text dense and often too long.
Our research indicates web content and design should convey warmth and relatability, in addition to your qualifications.
Too much focus on your qualifications can make you come across as cold and impersonal.
At Evidence Based Advisor Marketing, content drives design. We can’t separate the two.
Headed up by Dan Solin, we have a talented team of financial writers. We can generate content ranging from a simple re-write of your site content to very sophisticated and highly technical whitepapers, blog posts, and video and webinar scripts.
We primarily work with WordPress. For smaller clients, we often recommend Twenty Over Ten. When the client chooses WordPress, we initially will determine whether a premium theme is appropriate. If not, we have the ability to create customized designs. This is rarely necessary.
When we work with Twenty Over Ten, the client takes responsiblity for the design, working with the designers at Twenty Over Ten. We are able to consult at an agreed upon hourly rate. With all the websites we undertake, we do content and videos (assuming the clients opts for videos).
We are also able to work with other platforms, although it’s less cost-effective for us to do so.
We produce very different videos. They make an emotional connection with the viewer. We handle all aspects of production and post-production, in a very cost-effective manner.
We produce video blogs using your script or one we create. These can be used to discuss an investing subject or tell the viewer something about who you are and what’s meaningful to you.
These video blogs are very cost-effective and, done right, can make an emotional connection with the viewer, without the time, effort and cost of a more traditional video.
